Adding a Method of Production

1. When you first enter the Methods of Production option a Select An Option window will appear with the following options:

• EXIT – Select EXIT to exit the Methods of Production option and return to the Inventory menu.
• ADD – Select ADD to add a method of production.
• PRINT LIST – Select PRINT LIST to print a list of methods of production.
• SORT ALPHABETICALLY/SORT BY ID – Select SORT ALPHABETICALLY to sort previously defined methods of production alphabetically; select SORT BY ID to sort previously defined methods of production by ID.
• A list of previously defined methods of production.

Scroll to ADD and press Enter to confirm your selection.

2. At the Method of Production ID field, enter a two-digit ID code to be associated with the method of production.

3. At the Methods of Production Name, enter a name to be associated with the method of production.

4. A Select A Type window will appear. Enter the type of method that corresponds with your method of production: W= Wild Caught, F = farm raised, H = Harvested, R = Raised from Wild, I = Initial processing, P = Processing, D = Disassembly,, X=Other. The type is used to report the method of production and country of origin , country of initial processing,, processing and disassembly in the XML Import Trace Document. 5. Command options will appear:

• Add – Select Add to add the method of production.
• Exit – Select Exit to exit without adding the method of production and return to the Methods of Production ID field.

Scroll to Add and press Enter to confirm your selection.

The method of production has now been added.

Note: Some methods of production are included in the system by default.
